Well… um… I absolutely love the song, but it seems like the video was trying to make me not like the song!
Duffy’s as cute as a button, but that corny dancing & choreography? Let’s not go there again, babe. Mmmk?

News came down, a couple of weeks ago, of Duffy’s sophomore album, Endlessly, was on its way! *squeal*
Today, we get a short preview of the album’s lead single, “Well, Well, Well”. Listen below:
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
I’m not even sure we can call *that* a preview, because, come on. It really wasn’t. 30 seconds is a preview, 10 seconds is basically just a tease.
Well played, Duffy. Well played.
UK fans can hear the song, in full, this Thursday, according to Duffy’s latest MySpace bulletin:
Be sure to tune in to your favourite UK radio station from 8am on Thursday morning (7th October) to check out the very first play of Duffy’s brand new single.
But if you can’t wait until then, the full track has made its way online (I’m sure, much to the chagrin of her label…).
Duffy’s MySpace announced her new partnership with Diet Coke earlier today.
Duffy Does Diet Coke
Duffy is set to star in the next Diet Coke campaign, replacing the ‘Diet Coke Hunk’ who’s had office girls abandoning their desks for more than ten years. The ad sees Duffy coming off stage and taking a bike for a joyride whilst singing the classic ‘I’ve Gotta Be Me’.
Says Duffy: “One thing I like to do – my way to rebel on tour if you like – is to take off on my own and turn my phone off. It feels slightly naughty but it’s important to have those moments.”
The ad will premiere during the live broadcast of tonight’s Brit Awards. Look out for it.
And since the Brit Awards have already aired, the video is now out. Check it out:
I already tweeted this, but it bears repeating. Duffy walked away with 3 big wins at the 2009 Brit Awards today.
She won in the British Female Solo Artist, British Album, and British Breakthrough Act categories. In addition to her wins, she also performed her hit single “Warwick Avenue”. Watch the performance below:
The nominations for the 2009 Brit Awards are out and Duffy has been nominated in the following categories: “MasterCard British Album”, British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act. She is also in the running for British Single which is voted on by the public.
The 2009 Brit Awards will take place February 18 and broadcast live on ITV1. Visit the show website for additional information.
I was listening to my TV, while putzing around on the internet the other day. Next thing I knew, I heard Duffy’s beautiful voice. It wasn’t an ad for her album or anything music related. Instead if was a Nivea ad spot.
Duffy signed an endorsement deal with the beauty company earlier this year, that was publicized around the time of the annual “Fashion Rocks” concert in New York City.
This particular commercial was for Nivea’s “A Kiss of Moisture Hydrating Lip Care”, which I just so happen to own. Love the stuff!
Anyway, you can check out a couple of ads featuring Duffy’s music on the official Nivea USA website.
