    A couple of thoughts:

    1. Glad TI is back.
    2. Is it me or is there a crazy large amount of man-candy in this movie?
    3. Takers has an August 20th release. August/September and January/February are where movies go to die AKA movie studio doesn’t have a lot of faith in them. Hmmm…
    4. Did y’all see Chris Brown’s stunts? Insane! All that dancing he does seems to have really paid off! Wow!

In his first televised performance since “the incident”, Breezy hit the stage to help bring in more donations to benefit the tragedy in Haiti via BET’s Saving Ourselves (SOS) Help For Haiti special.

He performed “Crawl” and “With You” and showed the great stage presence we’re all accustomed to with his live performances. Watch below:

< begin rant > I’m gonna preface this with the following message: I know Breezy messed up big time. We all know this. However, unlike some, I don’t think he should be banned from creating/sharing music for the rest of his life. He def lost some cool points with me for roughin’ up my girl Rihanna, but the bottom line is that he’s paying his debt to society. He makes great music, and can dance his ass off, so I want to see more!

When Charlie Sheen (who is middle-aged, and with a history of abuse) got busted recently, I didn’t see anyone calling for him to get fired from his job. No one was organizing boycotts of CBS or his show. No one was drafting letters to people who do business with him, urging them to terminate their sponsorships. (Though Hanes did pull his ads, they were the only ones) People seemed to accept his actions as normal and move on without outrage. They couldn’t do that with a 19 year old man who has only messed up once? That’s all I needed to throw my support behind Chris. People need love the most when they deserve it the least.

I know many won’t agree with me, and that’s cool. This site is title “Just My Faves”, which means MY faves, and not necessarily yours ;) < / end rant >

Now, that I’ve gotten that out of the way, let me talk about something positive: new Breezy tunes! Looks like Chris is looking to get his grown and sexy on with the release of a new mixtape titled In My Zone on Valentine’s Day. He jumped on Ustream with Kevin McCall the other night to give fans a 25 minute preview. Watch it below:

I’m diggin’ most of the tracks he shared and Chris looks happy. He’s in his element in the studio. It seems like the studio and the stage are the only places he feels he can be free. Will definitely be copping the mixtape. The last album I bought was Chris’ Graffiti, and that’s saying a lot, as I don’t buy many CDs.

I haven’t seen any specific places where this mixtape will be available, but I’m sure word will spread in the coming 2 weeks.

Chris Brown is one of my faves. He’s working on his 3rd album as we speak and I can’t wait! I still rock out to “Forever”, and I’ll never tire of songs like “Kiss, Kiss” and “Wall to Wall”.

His 2009 release is titled Graffiti. But, unlike his boo, Rihanna, he’s actually going to take some time off so he doesn’t oversaturate the market and the airwaves. Peep what he told Billboard about his future plans after his current single “Superhuman” finishes its run on the charts.

“Then I’m going to go away for a little while so people won’t get tired of me. After that I’ll come back and give them some bangers.”

    Good move, Chris!

He also talks about how he’s been writing up a storm; and not just for himself. He’s hooking up his girl with some tracks and also submitted some to the Jonas Brothers. He also collaborated with country superstar Tim McGraw, whom I love to look at, but not necessarily listen to. I’m not a country music fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I did love when Nelly hooked up with Time for “Over and Over”. That was hot! So, I’m very interested in hearing what CB & TM came up with.

It’s nice to see that Chris is following the Ne-Yo success plan by writing, performing, producing, and just being an overall force in the industry. He was just named Billboard’s Pop Artist of the Year and is working on setting up his second record label too. Yes, second. He already has CBE at Interscope. That’s how you do it. Work it out then, C-Breezy!
