Miss Carlton has already announced a small, intimate tour (my favorite kind) to support the release of Rabbits On The Run. I was initially bummed because the dates didn’t include anything near me. And I still am.

Then, while making the rounds today, I stumbled across a Matchbox 20 tour date that listed Nessa as the opening act. It’s legit!

On July 9th, the day after her solo tour ends, she’ll open for MB20 at a special show at the Pechanga Theater (Pechanga Resort & Casino) in Temecula, CA. FYI, Tickets are already on sale.

Right now it just looks like a one-off event, because the band isn’t doing a full tour either. But more dates popped up, I wouldn’t complain! I enjoy MB20, but I’d obviously be going specifically to see Vanessa. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time I’ve gone to a show where the opener was the sole reason for my attendance!

I’ll be keeping an eye on matchboxtwenty.com just in case!

Another Nessa live performance date has popped up as well. On July 22, she’ll open for Five for Fighting at the Ravinia Festival in Chicago. That’s closer to me, than any of the others, but still not close enough. I’ll cross my fingers for more dates to pop up!

But really, as long as she’s getting out there and performing for somebody, that’s all I can ask for as a longtime fan. The title of this post may seem a bit misleading, but what’s wrong with wishful thinking? That’s what I thought!

Vanessa’s comeback music video for her new single, “Carousel”, has made its way online. And, it should be no surprise that Nessa looks wonderful! She is an accomplished ballet dancer, as well as runner, which explains her amazing and lean physique. Very classic and beautiful video. Welcome, back!

I’ll admit it. Before RiRi took over her official Twitter account, I thought she was devoid of personality. Boy was I wrong! On Twitter, she regularly delivers the most epic one-liners I’ve seen from any celeb. And she aint censoring nothing. So, if you’re offended by profanity, steer clear of Ms. Fenty!

The latest episode in the RiRi Chronicles, was after news broke that she and Chris Brown were following each other on Twitter. (Yes, slow news day).

Some may think she’s out of line and immature, and they could be right. But I think it’s refreshing and absolutely hilarious! Seriously, if you don’t read her timeline/replies on the regular, you. are. missing. out.

And she’s absolutely right. It’s just Twitter. But even if she did get back with him, that’s their biz, not ours. Let them live their lives. Damn!

I was beyond excited seeing news of a Nessa tour on my Facebook feed! But that feeling was short-lived, as there are very few stops, and none that I can get to. Hopefully enough Nessaholics can make it and share some goodness on YouTube… Please?

Lupe Fiasco stopped by The Colbert Report for an interview and performance of his new single, “Words I Never Said”, featuring Miss Skylar Grey.

The more I see of her, the more I like! Can’t wait to see what’s next. Watch the video below.

By now, most people know that Skylar Grey co-wrote the vocal portion of Eminem & Rihanna’s smash hit, “Love The Way You Lie”. (Rihanna also has a vocal-only version on her album, Loud.)

Skylar recently launched her own Tumblr account, and the first treat was a piano-only acoustic performance of the tune. Sounds lovely. I love when musicians can just sit down at a piano, or pick up a guitar, and SING! No theatrics or distractions. Just the music & voice. I love her voice!

I love that Robyn is still getting to perform “Dancing On My Own” on American TV. I really love that song, and its had great staying power.
