• Willa Ford Heads to “Magic City”

Willa, Willa, Willa, whatchu want, whatchu want?

Well, she apparently wants to keep acting, and that’s just fine by me, although I miss my favorite “Bad Girl”. Back in late May, she hinted about a new acting project that she was excited to announce, and she dropped another few tidbits today.

A simple Google search led me to a new STARZ series that goes by the title “Magic City”, set to air next year. Here’s a brief synopsis:

Starz’s upcoming 10-episode drama series Magic City. Set in Miami in the late 1950s-early 1960s, Magic City chronicles the collision of mobsters, politicians and entertainers at the first preeminent Miami hotel just as Fidel Castro takes control of Cuba and shuts down Havana as a gambling haven. It centers on Ike (Morgan), a suave Jewish-American man who builds the hotel and along the way makes some strange bedfellows and many powerful enemies.

The cast includes: Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Olga Kurylenko, Jessica Marais, Steven Strait, Christian Cooke, Danny Huston, Jessica Marais, Steven Strait, Christian Cooke, Dominik Garcia Lorido, Elena Satine, Kelly Lynch, Michael Rispoli, Yul Vázquez and Oscar-nominated Seymour Cassel.

IMDB has updated her profile with the “Magic City” casting, and lists her character as “Janice” for what looks to be 3 episodes (nearly a third of the season). Very exciting for Willa, and can’t wait to see what she looks like as a red head!

    Pixie Lott All About Tonight

But you can’t hear the full song just yet! That will be available for your listening and downloading pleasure on the 11th, with the video for “All About Tonight” debuting on the 17th (which her official website says is a Friday. It is not. It’s a Sunday). For now, Miss Pixie will be teasing us with clips of her new sound and look via video.

Album hits stores November 7th; overseas, that is.

I’m not optimistic about those of us stateside getting this album release. I mean, we didn’t get the last one. *sigh* But, if you’re going to record large portions of your album here, as well as film your video, you’d think the label might throw us a little bone here or there, ya know? Yea, still not going to hold my breath, but very excited about “All About Tonight” all the same!

God Bless YouTube. That is all.

  • Music Video: Skylar Grey – “Dance Without You”

Welp, the video matches the song pretty well! But it’s still a little too “out there” for me even though I absolutely love the drums and overall production. Sometimes, it just be’s like that. Ya know? Still love Skylar and looking forward to this project!

  • Terrence & Rocsi Discuss BET Awards Awkward Moment (VIDEO)

I’m still in the camp that BET was just downright shady & planned that shit. You don’t have “mix ups” involving Chris Brown and Rihanna. There’s no way. Now that everyone is calling them on their bullshit, they’re coming up with excuses; excuses that no one’s buying. That’s why BET can’t have nice things. The. End.

  • New Music: Selena Gomez Featuring Pixie Lott

    0

Since it seems like the US isn’t going to get a full Pixie Lott album, promo tour, or anything really… the least I can do is post about projects that she’s a part of. That’s something, right? No, I’m not bitter at all!

Selena Gomez & the Scene are about to release their new album and Pixie co-wrote and is prominently featured in one single titled “We Own The Night”. Take a listen below:

Based on how strong Pixie’s vocals are, you’d actually think this was her song, not Selena’s, but it is what it is. I’m just glad to hear her voice again. Been writing about her here since “Mama Do”.

When The Sun Goes Down hits stores on June 28th. If you’re a stateside Pixie fan, like me, be sure to purchase the single from your preferred music download outlet.
