  • Lily Allen Media Tour Continues!

    0

Lily Allen continues to make the rounds in the US to promote her album, It’s Not Me, It’s You, which just debuted at #5 on the Billboard charts with 70,000 units sold. Today she appeared on entertainment show, Extra, and the Ellen DeGeneres Show. She was good ol’ Lily as usual!

She also did an interview with Access Hollywood host Billy Bush for his radio show Monday. Video available on the Access Hollywood website.

On the Ellen Show, she performed “The Fear” and even sang Britney Spears’ “Womanizer” with Ellen in the bathroom. Definitely some great stuff as always when it comes to Lily and Ellen.

I wasn’t able to cap the Extra appearance, but I laughed through it. Great show, Lily! Also, if you’re not following Lily on Twitter, you’re missing out! Comedy and entertainment GOLD, people!

  • Duffy Teams with Diet Coke, Video Debuts

    0

Duffy’s MySpace announced her new partnership with Diet Coke earlier today.

    Duffy Does Diet Coke
Duffy is set to star in the next Diet Coke campaign, replacing the ‘Diet Coke Hunk’ who’s had office girls abandoning their desks for more than ten years.

The ad sees Duffy coming off stage and taking a bike for a joyride whilst singing the classic ‘I’ve Gotta Be Me’.

Says Duffy: “One thing I like to do – my way to rebel on tour if you like – is to take off on my own and turn my phone off. It feels slightly naughty but it’s important to have those moments.”

The ad will premiere during the live broadcast of tonight’s Brit Awards. Look out for it.

And since the Brit Awards have already aired, the video is now out. Check it out:

  • Video Premiere: Christina Milian’s “Us Against The World”

    0

Christina Milian is one of my faves, and actually the only “fave” that I know personally. And by know, I mean, I could pick up my phone and call her right now.

I maintain ChristinaMilian.org, on her behalf, and have since 2001. But y’all know how it is with “official websites”; updates are few and far between. Not my choice, but I’m happy to help her in any way she sees fit.

Having said that, every once in a while, I’ll give her a little shout-out here on Just My Faves because she’s good peoples and because I can!

Her new video for “Us Against The World” just premiered on MySpace. Check it out below.

Doesn’t C-Mil look fire? I love the cinematography. Very sepia, simple, and classy. Well, done!

  • Throwback: Sky – Love Song

    0

When I was in college — yes, I’m aging myself here — I was obsessed with watching The Box. For those of you unfamiliar, The Box was an awesome cable network that played absolutely NOTHING BUT MUSIC VIDEOS. It was on basic cable, so it’s leaps and bounds better than MTV Hits. MTV bought The Box, turned it into what is now MTV2, but stripped it of all its personality and awesomeness. Simply put, it was bad ass! It also showed video of up-and-coming, underground, and alternative artists and groups; something you wouldn’t see on places like MTV and VH1 back in the day. You could call in, at any time of the day, and request videos. I used to record music videos onto VHS tapes from The Box. It’s too bad I can’t find those tapes now. Probably quite a few gems on there!

It was while watching “The Box” that I found Sky, a duo from Canada. Sky created a pop/rock/R&B fusion type sound that I fell in love with. “Love Song” was the first song of theirs I heard and it led me to buy their album, Piece of Paradise, which I still enjoy to this day.
