As I had hoped, the combo of increased sales and the release of the music video has helped Kristinia DeBarge’s 1st single, “Goodbye”, jump 13 spots to #20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart! This is the highest the song has appeared on the chart and we can only hope it continues its ascent!...
It seems like it’s been ages since Kaci graced the world with the fabness that was “Crazy Possessive“. I don’t know about anyone else, but that song is one of the Most Played on my iPod. This song is a grower, but I can see it doing really well in the clubs; as it is probably intended. And 5 gold stars to whomever’s idea it was to get Ludacris on the track. He can do no wrong in my eyes.
It’s clear the budget was very small — if nonexistent — for this video. I would have actually like to see a few scenes in a dark, crowded, & dirty bar. You know, with a lot of people (men)?! Mix it up so the entire thing doesn’t appear to be filmed in front of a boring white bg/green screen.
What now? Hopefully Kaci’ll get some promo and the track will be a hit for her!
If you’re like me, and a fan of JoJo, you’ve been dying for an official album release and label-backed singles. I’ve got a lot of her leaked material, and one of the songs has made it to my iPhone/iPod’s Top 25 Most Played Playlist.
So, Miss Levesque stopped by Rap-Up Magazine offices to give an update. Watch below:
It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve seen some live Nessa performances. Actually the last time I heard live material was when I went to see her in Cincy at the end of 2008.
So with Rabbits on the Run nearly finished, I assume Ness is teasing the masses with some of the new tracks.
See her perform “Tall Tales For Spring” and “I Don’t Want to be a Bride” at the Nashville Pride Festival where she came out as bisexual. FYI, Nessa announced, via Twitter, that “I Don’t Want To Be A Bride” is the last song on the album.
Michelle Branch is back from her Country Music experiment (Thank goodness), and gearing up for another mainstream album release. Now, Michelle’s always had a little hint of country to her, but it was never overwhelming (think Josh Kelley up until now) until she created The Wreckers with Jessica Harp. I didn’t care for that era.
For her comeback single she’s teamed with Timbaland & the Mini Cooper car company for a song called “Getaway”, which will be used in their new ad campaign. And yes, that Timbaland. The end result is a little different for Michelle, but it sounds great!
Watch the video below:
Love it! Welcome back, Meesh! Her new album, Everything Comes and Goes, is due later this year.
1. Glad TI is back.
2. Is it me or is there a crazy large amount of man-candy in this movie?
3. Takers has an August 20th release. August/September and January/February are where movies go to die AKA movie studio doesn’t have a lot of faith in them. Hmmm…
4. Did y’all see Chris Brown’s stunts? Insane! All that dancing he does seems to have really paid off! Wow!
I’ve loved Robyn since her “Show Me Love”, “Do You Know What It Takes”, & “Do You Really Want Me” days. I know she doesn’t really make that kind of music before (she was Britney before Britney was Britney), but her new song, “Dancing On My Own” is trending back towards that sound. It should be a hit on the Dance charts for sure!
Robyn’s next record gets a US release, Body Talk Pt. 1, June 15th and you can pre-order now:
