  • More New Music From Duffy!

    Duffy

Duffy is the ultimate tease. She gives us a new track to marinate on almost every few days!

Now, I don’t mean she’s giving away free music, but she’s performing new music during her TV appearances; just enough to keep us wanting more as her November 29th album release date draws nearer. Nicely done, Aimee. Nicely done.

We’ve heard “Well, Well, Well” and “Endlessly” so far. But now we also get to hear “My Boy” thanks to her performance on Later With Jools Holland as well as “Lovestruck” at her Cafe de Paris showcase. Watch below! » Read the rest of the entry..

  • Taylor Swift Has a Song Named “Dear John” Too…

But I’d be willing to bet, Jessie James’ version of “Dear John” is 2345678 times better. Nothing against Taylor Swift, I just think, based on clever writing and amazing voice Jessie has, that it would be damn near impossible for anyone, especially Swifty, to top it.

Here’s what Jessie had to say about it.

It is kinda wild taylor swift has a dear john song too…i have a feeling they are very different stories though. hers sounds kinda sad :( less than a minute ago via web

My story was just a silly joke bout john…nothing serious…any girl wld be nuts to get too close to that guy. radio is as close as i wantless than a minute ago via web

This also adds to my opinion that Jessie James version > Taylor Swift version. I like a snarky song better than a “woe is me” song any day of the week! Besides, how many “he did me wrong” songs is she going to release? Seems a little played out at this point. Someone call me when TayTay releases a party anthem or a “I don’t need guys, I got my girls” type of song. Perhaps this is why I’m not the biggest country music fan?

Well… um… I absolutely love the song, but it seems like the video was trying to make me not like the song!

Duffy’s as cute as a button, but that corny dancing & choreography? Let’s not go there again, babe. Mmmk?

  • Duffy Is Such a Tease

    Duffy

News came down, a couple of weeks ago, of Duffy’s sophomore album, Endlessly, was on its way! *squeal*

Today, we get a short preview of the album’s lead single, “Well, Well, Well”. Listen below:

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

I’m not even sure we can call *that* a preview, because, come on. It really wasn’t. 30 seconds is a preview, 10 seconds is basically just a tease.

    Well played, Duffy. Well played.

UK fans can hear the song, in full, this Thursday, according to Duffy’s latest MySpace bulletin:

Be sure to tune in to your favourite UK radio station from 8am on Thursday morning (7th October) to check out the very first play of Duffy’s brand new single.

But if you can’t wait until then, the full track has made its way online (I’m sure, much to the chagrin of her label…).
