This is the music video for “Boys & Girls”, the second single off of Pixie Lott’s debut album, Turn It Up. I love it! It’s fresh, fun, and funky at the same time. I’m loving everything I’ve heard from Miss Lott and hope this goes to #1 just like “Mama Do” did! Enjoy!
Video: Kristinia DeBarge on Wendy Williams Show

Sounded a little off-key in the beginning of the performance. I wonder if their were any technical issues with the ears she had in, or perhaps simply nerves. But she worked it out as the song went on! I love the breakdown in the middle of the song and she ended it very strong! Very glad to see her do another performance on TV.

This is my favorite song off of Kelly’s All I Ever Wanted album (my review), so I just had to share. I think she looks great in this video. Simple and elegant, even though it didn’t really go with the song itself.

Kristinia DeBarge is one of a handful of music artists who will benefit from the online and mobile promotion of Giant Magazine and Baby Phat, as part of their collaborative “Sole Series” this summer.
GIANT and Baby Phat have embarked on a unique multi-media program that will engage the audience by integrating readers’ experience with Baby Phat through print, digital, special event and mobile initiatives…This ground-breaking campaign consists of the following: a “Road to Success” print feature, in-store tour and a mobile sweepstakes for the opportunity to win the ultimate fashionista experience by attending the Baby Phat Fashion Show during New York’s renowned Fashion Week. Talk about living life in the “fab” lane.
Sounds like a great way to help promote Kristinia and her new album! Find out more about the campaign via the official press release.
VH1 Announces 2009 Divas

A few months ago, VH1 announced that it would be reviving its Divas franchise. I began speculating about which artists I would most like to see. And by “artists”, I mean vocalists and real singers. I do not mean entertainers. I want females up there that can SANG!
Looks like VH1 feels the same way as the September 17th show from the Brooklyn Academy of Music Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, NY will feature Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, and Adele. In their transparent attempt to gain ratings from the tween crowd, they also selected Miley Cyrus.
If they want someone from the realm of country, it should have been someone like Carrie Underwood, but I see what they’re doing. Miley isn’t terrible, but alongside bonafide singers like Kelly, Leona, and Adele, it’s clear she isn’t in the same league. Then again, there’s always a questionable performer or two for the Divas show. I guess Miley’s it this time around.
If I can take you back to my thoughts on this, back in April, you’ll see I wasn’t off in my predictions:
I would think, since the last Divas, singers that should be consider include Duffy, Adele, Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson, Pink, and Fergie.
Man, I’m good!
Someone I think would be invited purely for the media attention is Rihanna. I love the girl’s songs as she is a pop music machine! She’s also in the direct eye of the media due to the Chris Brown situation (still smh at that), so Viacom may seek to take advantage of that. They’ve done it before. Other people who do not need to be invited: Britney, Ciara (I still love her though), Taylor Swift, and Miley Cyrus and all the current Disney ’stars’.
Called it.

Kristinia DeBarge set for Glamorama

Macy’s has announced that Kristinia DeBarge will perform alongside Ne-Yo and New Standards for the 2009 version of its Glamorama concert August 14th in Minneapolis, MN.
Glamorama also has a show date in Chicago, on August 21, but no word on if the lineup remains the same for that one as the Minneapolis event. I would assume the same acts are performing, but don’t want to pass along bad information. For now, Kristinia is only confirmed for the August 14th Glamorama event in Minneapolis.
