For some reason, my DVR didn’t feel like working (I don’t do mornings), so it didn’t record Miss Kristinia on Live w/ Regis & Kelly earlier. Kristinia uploaded the performance, as well as the super short interview, to her Kyte.tv channel
This was for the non-believers who said Kristinia can’t sing. We have now seen a dance-heavy performance and another with the emphasis on singing. Hopefully the next one has a nice balance of the two as she continues to mature.
It happens. A rare occurrence would be if an artist’s release date weren’t changed. So, it’s not really a big surprise that Jessie James’ self-titled debut effort has been pushed back a few weeks. Her self-titled album originally had a July 28th street date, but now August 11th is the date you need to circle on your calendars.
The album cover art has not yet been revealed, but I feel should be getting that relatively soon.
Kristinia DeBarge will give her second TV performance of “Goodbye” tomorrow morning on Live w/ Regis & Kelly.
The show airs weekdays at 9AM (ET)*. Click here visit the show website and find out when it airs in your market. It’s syndicated, so times/networks vary!
Don’t miss it!
To help promote and sell her debut album, Exposed, Kristinia DeBarge will hit the road as an opening act with Britney Spears this fall!
This is a huge gig for Kristinia as she will get the opportunity to perform for a large fanbase who could, in turn, become part of her own legion of fans.
The second leg of the ‘Circus’ tour gets underway August 20 in Hamilton, Ontario. R&B singer Ciara is also slotted as an opener. Sounds like a great show!
For the full list of dates, visit Britney’s official website.

The cover art for Kristinia DeBarge’s debut album Exposed is out courtesy of Amazon.com. It’s listed with a July 28th street date. But a quick look at Kristinia’s Island Records discography shows the release as untitled and due July 21, 2009 instead. Amazon is usually on top of the release dates and album covers, so I take it that the album has been pushed back a week to the 28th.
After the way “Goodbye” blew up in the past month, I figured, if anything, the release date would be moved up to capitalize on the song’s popularity. But it seems Island might introduce a second single prior to the album’s release. “Goodbye” appears to have peaked in its airplay and chart positions, so it probably is ime to ship the second single. It’s pretty common nowadays, so here’s hoping that “Gotta Be Love” is as big a success as “Goodbye”. I don’t think it will be because it’s not as catchy, but it’s hard to top “Na na na na, na na na na. Hey, hey, hey…Goodbye”!
Haven’t heard “Gotta Be Love”? Listen below.

I think this will do better on R&B/Urban stations than pop this time around.
Jessie James, in the midst of her Jonas Brothers tour dates, has shared a new behind-the-scenes video via Kyte.tv as well. It looks like Kyte is the new YouTube for some music artists!
In her new episode, Jessie shows her playful side while in Dallas for the Jonas Brothers tour. You really should watch this! She takes us inside the Wardrobe area for the JoBros even though she shouldn’t be video recording anything in there.
She also talks about what her role is on the tour as “MC”. Enjoy!
Kristinia DeBarge will appear at Friday’s “Def Jam 25 Live” at Avalon in Hollywood. Presented by MySpace, the event features rapper Fabolous, Jeremih, and Ace Hood and will be attended by quite a few Island Def Jam artists including The-Dream, Ne-Yo, Rick Ross, Amerie and more. You can print a flyer, which gets you into the show, here. You must be 21+ to attend!
The event is part of the lead up to the 2009 BET Awards. I wonder if this means Kristinia will attend. I hope so! Would love to see some more red carpet photos of her!
Meanwhile, on Kyte.tv, Kristinia updated her channel today. It’s a one-sided phone conversation with Ryan Seacrest and you can watch it here or below:
After debuting at #1, Pixie Lott’s “Mama Do” slides one spot to #2 in its second week. David Guetta, featuring former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland, took the top spot with “When Loves Takes Over”.
In other news, a video of Pixie in the studio recording “Mama Do” in Simlish (for SIMS 3) has been released. Watch it below!
