She will provide tour support for popular girl group, The Saturdays.

To anyone who hasn’t heard of you yet, how would you describe your sound?
Soulful pop with elements of rn’b and retro but still kept very contemporary and fresh – a good combination!
Tell us a bit about the inspiration behind your foxy new record…
I take influences from all different great musicians.
If you were going to give us just one song of yours to listen to so that you would become our new favourite singer, what would it be?
“Cry Me Out” as I love to sing it live, I can really get into the character of it.
If you could cover another musician’s song, what would it be?
“Love Come Down” by Evelyn “Champagne” King
And can you sum up your good self in just five words?
My friend who I’m sitting with now says, “I’m funny, spontaneous, kind, dazed and manic” haha!

And it’s about time!
Throughout the late 90s and early 00s, “Divas” was a yearly staple on VH1. It brought us some memorable performances and was, in general, a really big deal. IIRC. it was right up there with the MTV Video Music Awards in terms of the attention and press garnered by the event.
So, it comes with much excitement that I share that “Divas” is making its return to the network this year. Billboard brought the news earlier today, reporting that the show will “air live on September 17 from the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House in New York.” Good deal. Good deal.
Relatively recently, Pixie Lott has given her take of OneRepublic’s “Apologize”. Now she covers “Use Somebody” by the Kings of Leon.

Also, Pixie has been tapped to perform at the Isle of Wight Festival 2009 from June 12-14 in Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight. More at www.isleofwightfestival.com.
Britain’s Daily Mail thinks so, and I agree!
I stumbled upon Miss Lott,a couple of weeks ago while browsing my Joss Stone RSS feed. The article stated that Pixie was a mix of Rihanna, Lady GaGa, and Joss Stone and I thought “sa-weeeeet”! Two artists who rarely disappoint me in the music department.
I headed to her website and listened to her debut single, “Mama Do”, and fell in love! (Also be sure to check out her awesome cover of OneRepublic’s “Apologize”)
She’s just shot the video for “Mama Do” and is receiving her first plays on British radio. The 18 year old, who is currently signed to Mercury Records, also has a US label, so expect to see her on this side of the pond as well. Probably later this year, at the earliest.
